Highlights of the 9th grade
Currently we are getting creative, in both writing and with our work on our monument in Physics. We have been working on writing about our personal experiences (mine was my Uncle's disappearance and on how I reacted to the news and on what happened to him) in which both the teacher and some students got to read about, we have also presented and wrote about an item that is treasured by us (mines, although seeming a tad silly, was my 3ds that reminded me about the game systems I had used as I grew older, and all the shared memories with them). We used our experience in word painting to bring out meaning and detail to our writing about the personal things we still carry, both physically, emotionally, and in mind. We also wrote a "I Am From" poem where we wrote about what we are from, what it is like in our house and the environment we are surrounded by. In Physics we have worked on our lab report, that didn't require much detail, but was still fun to do since we have been working on our own projects in which we researched and experimented on, which was the funnest part. In the lab report, we had structured our reports in the format of abstract, introduction, materials, procedures, data & observations, analysis & conclusions, and finally ending with citations. As for our monument, we are contributing by decorating our own "fence posts", decorating our own rocks for the project, and contributing our own ideas that have been appreciated and sometimes even used. We were encouraged for creativity, word painting, and even actual painting that had brought us all together as a family!
